Couples Costumes for halloween ? Super early question :)?

Okay so my boyfriend and I want to get a super early start on our Halloween costumes, but we're stumped. Its my first year in college and his second. We wanted a cute but kinda awesome couples costume.

We were thinking about being sackboy and sackgirl from the PS 3 game, buut im not 100% sure how to make the costume.
