Could you help me with Christianity?

So, in a nutshell: We are made imperfect and inherently sinful with free will which we are only supposed to exercise by choosing to worship a god based solely on faith and the word of others and trying really hard not to be imperfect and inherently sinful and feeling really guilty about not being perfect. Since we will fail, the perfect loving god had to demand the sacrifice of a demi-god (human-borne god) in order to forgive us but only if we keep trying really hard to be perfect and feel really guilty about not being perfect and annoy all our friends and neighbors trying to guilt them too. Or we face eternal fiery torment by the loving god.

Is that about right?

NO,God does not make imperfections, we do not teach the word of God from generation to generation, so our children choose what seems right to them, they stumble and sin yes.God gave us our spirits, yes we worship God based on spirit faith and the word of other testimonies.Yes we are perfect in God,No we do not feel guilty, we trust in God,we repent,we surrender. Those who "annoy friends and neighbors and try to guilt them" perhaps have not repented hence the guilt. No we do not face an eternal fiery torment by God. Some people feel that they are such intellects and haven't a need for God,and or denied the existence of God and the Holy Spirit, yes they face their own personal hell.

That's about right. There is salvation for them tool, but it is a personal choice and for some it is hard to be humble. think about it

No we were made to perfection until Satan (the original sinner and once the second power to God) tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit which brought sin, pain, suffering and death into the world. The original price for eating the fruit was death but God stopped this from happening by sending his son to be sacrificed (because only the creator could take the place of his creations who had done wrong and allowed Satan onto the Earth)

We are supposed to give our love freely to God which is why we have free will. True love cannot be programed. It must be given.

God knows we are not perfect and that is because of the devil. But he does everything he can to save us. And if you are wondering why he simply doesn't change something and save us right away it is because there are Sacred Laws in Heaven that must be obeyed and followed and cannot be changed even by God because it would not be right for A King to not follow his own laws but expect his people too.

Just so you know in the beginning Heaven was God's Kingdom and Hell was Satan's but Earth was one of many world's that God created before and after the fall of the Angels and this one was unique because it's ruling beings were made in his likeness. Earth was man's domain until sin corrupted and cursed the Earth. Now it is a battle ground between good and evil.

Why have some atheists totally lost touch with reality?

"We are made imperfect and inherently sinful" What is wrong with you. No one says that.

"based solely on faith" No. Having faith is one part, not solely.

I'm not a Christian and there are many things in Christianity that are weird, like the idea that god gave birth to himself and then died and then came back but we are waiting for his second coming.

I mean why make stuff up?

    What is wrong with you?

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, sin entered the world and every human being after was born with a sin nature. Yes, we have a choice whether to sin or not, but sin is very easy and very enticing, and it pleases us, so we do it. One of the things you're a bit confused about here is I don't believe in God simply because someone told me to or the bible tells me to. I believe in Him because I have had an experience of His presence as long as I can remember.

I think if you ever spent some time studying the new testament, you'd learn a lot of interesting things that would help you understand more about Jesus and how we are to live as Christians.

As a bisexual Christian I do have an issue with the word "perfect". Perfect is what God can see, but it's not any of us. Faith is trust, once I understood that then I could put some of the pieces together as to what all this mess is about concerning spiritual truths, and the way God revealed them.

In plain old English, Jesus was sent to provide a sacrifice which was only typified in the Old Testament. In order to have that sacrifice come into effect for me, I had to trust him for it and what the sacrifice meant to him. He said that if I trusted in the name of the only begotten son, then I would come into the covenant as a child of his. He would see me as perfect like Jesus is perfect.

Sin is another thing. It's no longer a part of how God sees me. Jesus took care of the sin issue. So now we come to a vital fact about Christian ideology: I could spend my time as a Christian worrying about every sin I think I commit, always bringing attention to myself, OR I can look to the God who already forgave my sins, and trust him for what Jesus did so that I wouldn't suffer the wrath of God.

The perfectionist will tell you that you have to retain a performance of repentance throughout your life. What I've found is that God gets your attention through your conscience and brings you there when he thinks you need to. So I'm not being the worry wart those other Christians are being. I don't have to keep my finger on the pulse of sinning. As long as I stay in the word, and trust God for what he promised, I'm in pretty good step with him, and he teaches me more as I go.

Sadly, I think you summarized pretty well. I don't understand why otherwise sane and normal people are so brainwashed by religion. It's silly- really, it's so beneath reason as to just be a joke. But WHY are so many people so gullible? That's what I don't get. I was raised in a very religious, and loving, home. My sister and I are both atheists- I think because we were also taught to think for ourselves. I believe religion is the most corrupt and disgusting institution on this planet. So many people have been hurt so badly by religion- it's horrific.

I think that you have a more conservative view of Christianity about right but I think that you should definitely broaden your idea of what it means to be a "Christian." Don't listen to what many people tell you; being a Christian can mean of ton of things.

Some Christians do not believe in "the fall." Some Christians do not believe that we are born sinful and some do. Some Christians believe in free will and some don't..and even then, there are tons of different types of free will.

Some Christians believe that God chooses who goes to heaven and hell, other Christians believe that it is our choice, and then you have other Christians who believe that regardless of how bad you are, all humans go to heaven.

So, to make this short, I think that you have 1 form of Christianity down but don't allow that to be your only view of Christianity because MANY forms exist...and many forms of everything exists!

    It's a little wordy.

Christianity is just one branch of the mythology of the ancient Middle East, sitting between Judaism and Islam on the Abrahamic tree. Unlike the other two, it is generally not monotheistic in practice. In the modern world, it serves as an excuse for adults to believe in magic and have imaginary friends.

    That about wraps it up.

You're still carrying the burden of being perfect which is not required nor spoken of in the Bible. WEeare told to "rest in God". Sure we do our best and ask for forgiveness when necessary but Christ paid the penalty. No need on our part to strive...........

    Christianity:

The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree... yeah, makes perfect sense.
