Theists, would you drink this beautiful ambrosia I have for you?

It is a powerful drink, can cure all disease, heal all wounds and defects, and ease grief. It will make you immortal. It is odorless, colorless, tasteless, in fact, it doesn't exist in this physical realm at all, but if you take this into you, everything will be perfect.

It has worked for me and many other people. Sometimes, it takes awhile because the drinker isn't ready for it, but drinking it helps them get ready. To take my drink costs you nothing, it is already in you, and will aid you if you are ready and worthy. You know this to be true, it is inside you if only you will let yourself believe.

This is the argument of theism. If you'd take my drink, if you believe it to be true, THAT is the essence of theism. If you doubt me, if you wish for evidence, if you think I'm a snarky wench, you have contacted your atheist side.

So, would you take my drink?

Would it be bad of me to say that I prefer you as a snarky wench?

No, theism is an intellectual position, only. The Devil is a theist.

And even the pagan philosophers rejected your sundering of Good and Desirable as separate. You will get no evidence from me until you admit two things 1) You do not have a REASON for not believing, yet God either exists or He doesn't, and 2) If the many pagan philosophical arguments all fail for you you must tell me WHY.

I am a Catholic and I follow Jesus who denies 3 things you seem to think must be so.

Whoever/whatever made your being must know the fulfillment of that being.

What is good must be what if desirable for you have no control over that.

Your destiny is wrapped up intimately in finding answers to those questions that you treat as purely party conversation starters.

Considering how man hours you spend wasting your life on TV, read one Gospel with an open mind.

Intellectual laziness and hatred of the Truth....

"The average American now watches 28 hours a week of TV; that’s the average, that means that half the country watches more than that. Do you know what that comes to? That comes, if you figure it out over the course of a seventy-five year six-month average life expectancy, it comes in the course of a life time to 13 uninterrupted years of TV! "

An utter waste of life. If you spent 10% of that time seeking God, that would be almost 1 1/2 years of uninterrupted prayer and Bible study.

    1. If I got a second opinion from the Holy Ghost, then I'd like to, but isn't it already inside of me?

    2. No, it isn't. I don't argue. I help you find God, if that is what you want (evidence). Otherwise I respect your beliefs and leave you alone.

    3. Again, isn't it already inside me?

No, I certainly would not. there is no substance that truly heal all wounds any one who ;promises that is a snake-oil salesman. I would take medicine if necessary, but I am not drinking some magic potion.

I think you as an atheist will need that drink more than a theist will. You keep it.

No. But you don't know what you're talking about so why would I ever be so foolish as to swallow your drink?
