How do you combine a edgy and indie kind of style?
For high school, I want to combine a edgy kind of grunge look but still cute and sweet looking. I just love the grunge look ( My favorite show is MY SO CALLED LIFE), but I want to look cute and classic at the same time. I like how indie/boho is softer like band tee's, floral prints, and lace. But I still want to look grungy, preppy, sweet and cute all at the same time. Is it possible. PLEASE HELP MEEEE!!!!!

First, know your body. What looks good on you? Which clothes do you feel the most proportion in?
Control where the eye sets upon by accentuating your pleasing features, and making everything else neutral ground. By making one area elaborate and the next area bare, you have balance (which is classic). You can have grungy, preppy, sweet, and cute, but just know where to embellish and where to restrain.
In addition, I suggest you try out Polyvore and make some clothing sets of your own. It's a great way to explore your tastes. You can discover designers you like, and you don't have to worry about what costs four thousand dollars or what costs sixteen dollars. You're just seeing how shape, texture, and color work together. Good luck. : )

You can wear a floral fringe shirt (you can DIY and look it up on Youtube) with classic blue high waisted denim shorts, accessorize it with a flower crown and cute wedges. That gives a soft grunge, boho-chic look that is so cute. If you want a rock grunge look than wear a band tee like the Rolling Stones and Dr Martins which are ankle boots. With dishevelled shorts, so cool!
Hope I helped :)

Well, you could be edgy one day and indie the next and preppy the day after. Who says you need to stick to one style?
