I'm a Christian, and most of my views line up with the Democratic Party. As far as economics go, I most definitely believe in a stronger government. Concerning issues like gay rights (and general civil rights) I believe in a separation of church and state; we are not a theocracy.
On the issue of abortion, I am against it in a secular way as well as a religious way. I believe that the issue of whether the child is alive as an embryo or not is irrelevant. The fact is that it will be a living child. It will grow to be a thinking human being. So whether or not you're taking away life from something that is living THAT VERY MOMENT doesn't matter; you are still taking away a life that isn't yours to take away. In the rare case when the child is going to be born in, say, a vegetative state, then it is kinder to terminate. But I am very against it being used as birth control.

I'm Liberal on most things, but I don't associate myself with a specific party. The two-party system is a joke. When you get into the elitist circle, there are no real Republicans and Democrats. They distract you with issues like gay marriage and abortion, and they f*ck us all over in the meantime while making themselves richer and more powerful.

I'm an atheist. I'm socially very liberal, but I'm more moderate, leaning towards democrat when it comes to policies and whatnot. I think it's ridiculous to have just one label for your political views when there is such an array of issues -- things aren't so black and white.

In British terms, slightly left of centre, I suppose.
Translated into American politics, that probably makes me a raving commie.
