Hypothetical: Would you allow police to search your home randomly once a week...?

for the sake of national security?

BQ: Do you support the dragnet data collection being committed by the NSA? Do you feel it keeps us safer?

For those of you who value privacy, I recommend Startpage search engine, or Duck Duck Go. Today, my favorite email client, Lavabit.com, willingly closed their doors, because they refused to hand over their algorithm, information, and passwords to the federal government. Lavabit, is (was) the email client Edward Snowden used as well.

Update:

@Stogie: You are correct. I suppose this is not a hypothetical. But I entirely disagree with your position.

There's nothing "random" about searching the same home once a week.

I have nothing to hide and the police can search my home, but they damn well better have probable cause and a search warrant.

    no

BQ: no the dragnet has nothing to do with security, the dragnet is only for political / revenge purposes such as picking on the TEA PARTY. how did the IRS know what people tea party members associated with ? they got the info from the NSA

That is not a hypothetical. It is simply a question. And no they cannot search my home. Nor can Snowden release classified government documents that he stole.

Nope. That would accomplish little to nothing.

BQ - No. Just another excuse for our government to keep closer tabs on us.

Hell no. It's not constitutional. Unless they have a warrant, they can't.

    BQ: Nope.

It'd sort of disrupt my day...so no.

I don't mind them looking at my texts or internet searches though, as it requires nothing of me.
