Where to buy a Dash cam ?

The biggest thing is that amazon would be the best place to get that. I think online is the best place to get a dash cam. I don't have an idea of what store you could actually walk in and get that. I bough mine one off amazon some months ago.

I have a GoPro3 mounted as a dashcam. I can only comment on the GoPro - other cameras may or may not have the same features.

1. It can record on an endless loop or stop when the memory card is full.

2. It can record 6.75 hrs on 720 resolution @ 30 fps & 65gb memory card and a piggy back battery

3. It can record time lapse, still images, movies.

4. It can record movies and take still images at programmed intervals at the same time

5. It is in color

6. Can be set up to view through iPhone or Android (certain resolutions)

6. GoPro3 has WiFi built-in

7. It is very small. Can be wearable with mounting options. It's not a permanent mount, easily removed and relocated.

It does not have a built-in video display but you can buy a piggy-back monitor or use your iPhone or Android app.

It has a wide angle lens (fish-eye) which may be objectionable to some. But with the free GoPro Studio, you can modify the video.

There are other cameras that have better features, I'm sure. But I can't afford to buy them all and evaluate them. My purchase was decided because my son-in-law has one (GoPro2).
