How could it be 13 triangles in this picture?
There's this picture on Facebook that says 'how many triangles do you see?' With options 7, 9, 13, 21. And majority of the comments keep saying 13, but I could only count up 10. How are they seeing 13 triangles.
Look up 'how many triangles do you see?" And the picture is 6 red triangles and like three grayish-whitish triangles with the choices off to the right.
Please help. This is driving me crazy. No one is explaining how they're getting their answer in the comments.

For example, look at the left lower corner. The three red triangles with the white triangle in the middle. Those together make up another (larger) triangle. Did you take those into account? You can do this with each corner, so there's three additional triangles.
And then take all the triangles together and that makes 1 big triangle.

I don't know, but it would help if you linked the URL of the picture.
Then I could direct you to all 13 triangles.

The ones you are probably missing are the three that you can see if you imagine one of the gray triangles as the middle of a triangle using the red ones as the side. It is a little hard to explain but you can look on you tube and see videos of the count.
