Jehovah's Witnesses, why didn't "Jehovah" make His name known Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?
"And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them" (Exodus 6:3 New World Translation)
If knowing God's name is so important, why was it not made known to these three?

So your question is Not that Jehovah was their GOD,but they didn't use his name and feel that it wasn't important to use it?
Well you have to ask yourself Who is ALMIGHTY GOD? Does your bible even contain the name Jehovah that's found in it some 7000 times?
(Exodus 3:15) . . ., ‘Jehovah the God of YOUR forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. . .
(Exodus 6:3) And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty, but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.
(Genesis 17:1) 17 When A′bram got to be ninety-nine years old, then Jehovah appeared to A′bram and said to him: “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and prove yourself faultless.
(Genesis 35:11) 11 And God said further to him: “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and become many.
(Genesis 28:13) 13 And, look! there was Jehovah stationed above it, and he proceeded to say: “I am Jehovah the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land upon which you are lying, to you I am going to give it and to your seed.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT) genesis 28:13
13 and lo, Jehovah is standing upon it, and He saith, `I [am] Jehovah, God of Abraham thy father, and God of Isaac; the land on which thou art lying, to thee I give it, and to thy seed;
Jesus taught us who their God was at (Matthew 22:32) . . .‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob’? He is the God, not of the dead, but of the living. . .
So did they use his name the answer is yes , did they know what it fully meant yet, we can say no they didn't. other then he was Almighty God, whose name is Jehovah.

If you go more into where the tetragrammton was suppose to be in the bible you will see that HIS NAME was known. It was out of religious superstition that the early church fathers decided to put Lord instead. The devil had his hand is confusing many as he does today.
That is why this scripture is exactly what is happening NOW:
1 John 5:19
Darby Translation (DARBY)
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].
The devil is allowed to rule right now, thus the whole world is in chaos. However, it is not long off before God's Kingdom will bring relief to mankind. Daniel 2:44

9 “YOU must pray, then, this way:
“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.
10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.
Think about it...IF Jesus was talking about himself, he would not have put it that way.

It's not JWs who are saying God's name is important -- Jesus HIMSELF taught us to pray "let YOUR NAME be sanctified". Matthew 6:9-13.
They definitely knew and used God's name. However, they had not come to know the significance of it yet.
(Exodus 20:7) 7 “You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way.

(Genesis 22:13, 14) At that Abraham raised his eyes and looked and there, deep in the foreground, there was a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up for a burnt offering in place of his son. 14 And Abraham began to call the name of that place Je·ho′vah-ji′reh. This is why it is customarily said today: “In the mountain of Jehovah it will be provided.”
True Christians have a commission from Jesus Christ to make disciples of people of all nations. When teaching these people, how would it be possible to identify the true God as different from the false gods of the nations? Only by using His personal name, as the Bible itself does.—Matt. 28:19, 20; 1 Cor. 8:5, 6.
Ex. 3:15: “God said . . . to Moses: ‘This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, “Jehovah the God of your forefathers . . . has sent me to you.” This is my name to time indefinite, and this is the memorial of me to generation after generation.’”
In what way had God’s name not been made known to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? These patriarchs used the divine name and received promises from Jehovah. Yet, they did not know or experience Jehovah as the one who caused these promises to be fulfilled.—Genesis 12:1, 2; 15:7, 13-16; 26:24; 28:10-15.
As a result of their divinely protected flight from Egyptian bondage, the Israelites came to know God’s name in a new sense. Jehovah had become their Deliverer. (Exodus 6:2, 3) Consequently, the third commandment took on special meaning for them, as they were thus forbidden to take up the divine name in a worthless way.—Exodus 20:7.
Jehovah used the title “God Almighty” (ʼEl Shad·dai′) when making his promise to Abraham concerning the birth of Isaac, a promise requiring that Abraham have great faith in God’s power to carry out that promise. It was thereafter used when God was spoken of as the one who would bless Isaac and Jacob as heirs of the Abrahamic covenant.—Ge 17:1; 28:3; 35:11; 48:3.
In harmony with this, Jehovah could later say to Moses: “I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as God Almighty [beʼEl′ Shad·dai′], but as respects my name Jehovah I did not make myself known to them.” (Ex 6:3) This could not mean that the name Jehovah was unknown to these patriarchs, since it was frequently used by them as well as by others before them. (Ge 4:1, 26; 14:22; 27:27; 28:16) In fact, in the book of Genesis, which relates the lives of the patriarchs, the word “Almighty” occurs only 6 times, whereas the personal name Jehovah was written 172 times in the original Hebrew text. Yet, while these patriarchs had come to appreciate by personal experience God’s right to and qualifications for the title of “the Almighty One,” they had not had opportunity to appreciate the full meaning and implications of his personal name, Jehovah. In this regard, The Illustrated Bible Dictionary (Vol. 1, p. 572) comments: “The former revelation, to the Patriarchs, concerned promises belonging to a distant future; it supposed that they should be assured that He, Yahweh, was such a God (ʼel) as was competent (one possible meaning of sadday) to fulfill them. The revelation at the bush was greater and more intimate, God’s power and immediate and continuing presence with them being all wrapped up in the familiar name of Yahweh.”—Edited by J. D. Douglas, 1980.
