~ Girl #1 ~ Eleanor Philippa - "Nora"

This name is on our list, as Eleanor Philippa Katherine -- since my name is Philippa. On my boyfriend's side of the family, it's traditional to name kids with their middle name being one of the parents' first names, that's what we're doing. :)

~ Girl #2 ~ Ruby Clara - "Ruby"

Ruby is my sister's birthstone, so it's on my list, and so is Clara. :) I like how this name fits together. Clara Ruby is awkward, but Ruby Clara is so pretty in my opinion!

~ Girl #3 ~ Phoebe Tess - "Bee"

I just like how this one sounds. I really like Tess. :) I love how quirky and uncommon Phoebe is, plus it's close to my name without being TOO close. But alas, my boyfriend doesn't like it (he's SO picky).

~ Girl #4 ~ Annabel Wren - "Anya"

Well, really, I love Anya as a name on its own (it's my #1 for a girl), but I think it works as a nickname for Annabel. :) I love the name Annabel, and it was on my list with the name Anneliese, since Anna/Anne/Ann is a very common name in my family, and Anya is the Russian/Sanskrit version. I love the idea of honouring my side of the family while giving a name that is unique to the child. :)

~ Girl #5 ~ Matilda Violet - "Mattie"

I love the name Matilda, especially with Violet as a middle name, but unfortunately it's the name of my 8 year old cousin who gets called Tilly for short, so that renders it unusable... :( My boyfriend doesn't like it anyway. But I think it's traditional while not being overused. It ages beautifully too! I like Tilly or Tilda as nicknames for Matilda, but I wouldn't want Matilda and Lillian to get called Tilly and Lilly. :/

~ Girl #6 ~ Lillian Esther - "Lila (LEE-la)"

I like Lila as a name on its own, but I also like Lillian on its own. It's so strong, feminine, and classic. I just hate how common Lily is...it's caused me to demote this name from "love" to "like". I most likely wouldn't use it because my boyfriend doesn't like it, but it was on my list for a very long time. I really like Esther because it's really unique but very vintage and traditional, and my boyfriend kind of likes it too, so it's on the iffy list for us.

~ Girl #7 ~ Freja Iris - "Effie"

I like Freya a bit better (I live in Canada, and I know that people would mispronounce the J), but I like this spelling almost as much, too! Iris is my great-grandmother's name, and she was the matriarch of our family, so she is very very important to everyone. It's also my cousin's middle name. Freja Iris doesn't flow extremely well because of all the vowel sounds, but I think both names are pretty and the names work really nice together because they are similar in style, vintagey, not too common, but traditional, beautiful and feminine. I picked Effie as a nickname because Freja begins with an F.

~ Girl #8 ~ Estelle Flora - "Stella"

I think these names are both gorgeous. I like them both, but personally just wouldn't name a child them. However, they're very pretty, and I would find it very refreshing to see someone use either name. :)
