My petition for the local mason lodge?

Question

My petition for the local lodge was rejected last night and I got a call today from one of the guys that vouched for me...he didn't tell me much except that I was not accepted and that I could repetition in 6 months if i wanted to.  I am pretty upset about this and hate not knowing the reason why.  What if anything can I do to find out and try to correct this so I could join in the future?

Presuming that you meet the criteria and have not lied on your application
Perhaps someone in the lodge just does not like you.
If your proposer will not tell you,then there is nothing you can do about it-no reason or explanation needs to be given

I would suggest that you wait a few months,then try another lodge

Hi 
 Fitting into this secret organisation has always been a relative thing. if one of it's current members also is in the same trade there could be a conflict of interests or someone you have crossed in the past.
so look for another lodge to join.  
Also discussing on here would most likely get you banned for life.
