Women would you date a geek?

Yes, I'd date a geek. In fact, geeks are my type, but they're actually really hard to find. I'm starting college in 2 weeks, so hopefully that will widen the pool haha. Anyway, I think the above quote shows what a lot of people consider geeks. But I think it's great when people are passionate about what they do/what they like, especially their intellectual and academic pursuits. I love to read and I have no problem saying I'm a geek. I embrace that geekiness. I get so excited about books and I love debating and having conversations about them. I think the general stereotype of a geek is someone who's socially awkward, and excels in Math/Science, but I fall somewhere on the geek spectrum too.

In essence, most people don't mind people who are smart. In that sense, being a geek is a turn-on. Being socially awkward and insecure isn't. You being a geek wouldn't stop you from getting a date (unless the girl is some superficial airhead). I think what would stop someone from dating a geek is if the geek is too quiet, too shy, and too insecure. I know my answer was all jumbled, but hope it helped.

Geeks were always my favorite type of guy, because I love brains above all in guys...to me, horn rimmed glasses say Geek and I love them. Liking Sci Fi is usually a geeky trait but many people like it

I like REAL guys, not posers and geek are usually truthful and genuine. Often geeks are not that into playing sports, but I believe it's because they are often physically late bloomers and come into their own later on in life.
