I’m looking for the title to a cassette tape of old stories I used to listen to when young. I can only remember one story but not the name of the story. It is about an Eskimo man who discovers a magic piece of wood that he sees a image in and when he carves out the image it is that of a woman who then come to life. I have a large anime collection with some more than a few hard to find and or expensive titles to get a hold of. But where should I go to see how much they are worth?

When I play certain DVDs I will sometimes get these short horizontal lines that appear when action occurs and only in the area where the acton is occurring. It doesn't seem to to be the disks since I have played them on my laptop and on another television (one of the old bulky ones) and it didn't have that problem so what could it be? Any way to fix it? The television in Question is a 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV and the DVD player is connected through an HDMI cable.
