Has anyone had experience with a shiba inu and yellow lab puppy? (Shibador)?

...no need to go on about "spaying". Or how its wrong to breed. I am just looking for basic info on a shibador from someone with personal experience.

    Shiba Inu Lab Mix

NO WAY! Is all I can say because I don't support mix-breeding, in any form. There is no 'basic information' to be had with mix-breeding. No Breed Standard ..... no controls = a lottery. And hanging a stupid name on the result of such irresponsible breeding, doesn't make it anything other than exactly that, irresponsible, and UNNECESSARY.

I am not against anybody wanting to breed, but fgs. do it right. It takes time, effort and money to breed, so why anybody would want to produce mutts, when how much better it would be to contribute to the welfare of A BREED, is beyond me.

Depending on which set of genes a puppy from such a mix has, that's what the puppy will look like, act like, have the temperament of, longevity of (much as with no testing it's more likely there will be problems) and so on.

ps If you are planning such a breeding, don't. If you are planning on adopting from a Shelter, fine. If you are planning on supporting a BYB producing such a mix - DON'T.

I do, best dog I've ever had. Coworker rescued the yellow lab momma dog (pure bred), who was pregnant, so I ended up with one of the pups. Didn't know he was part shiba till one of the other owners got a genetic test done to see what they were mixed with. He's 8 now, still with the energy of a puppy, was very easy to train, and couldn't imagine a better hiking buddy.
