Although the travel to and fro Delphi. as well as the place itself are worth the trouble, in this case of only two days stay, is far too much.

Spend your time in Athens and get to know the town, unless you are too energetic and you are really very set on going, then by all means. Besides, it will still leave you enough time in the evening to go out and enjoy Athens by night.

In any case, most of the restaurants in Delphi are of good quality and some have panoramic view of the olive tree valley below and the sea beyond.

In Athens, the Plaka area which is immediately below Acropolis and the area of Psirri a bit further down, have a great number of restaurants and fantastic food. If you eat pork then order kontosouvli.

I would say no , it is a long bus ride through mountainous terrain , and though the site and the museum there are fantastic , you'd have a job to get around Athens in two days , Come back another time for a week , and go then .

I agree with CMV. You can easily spend two days and more just seeing Athens. The Parthenon itself and museum will easily consume one entire day. I do not remember the name of the restaurants we ate at, but there are several with tables outside and music playing in the areas around the square below the Parthenon. Ask around. We found the people to be very kind and friendly and happy to recommend places to us.
