What do liberals not understand?

If we raise minimum wage to $12 an hour many jobs that pay $12 an hour now will not increase their employees wages. That will lead to more people making minimum wage. Businesses will just raise their pricesand lay off people to compensate for the increase.. It will force more fsctories to keave the USA..

Raising minimum wage will only create more problem then it is worth.

Instead of demanding higher minimum wage why not demand more higher paying jobs? And a better job market.

"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." Ronald Reagan

The Liberal ideology is a theory which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality.

They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class.

The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

A democracy will continue to exist up until

the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous

gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority

always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from

the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally

    collapse over loose fiscal policy

A broken government can't be fixed by the same government that broke it.

what do the conservatives don't understand?

keep the people on a slavery wages will forced those people

to ask for the government assistance in order to survive

and you already pay with your taxes for the government assistance

so deny a raise base on the cost of living to all workers in this country

is like you approve the Government spending on form of assistance

that is kind of strange form people like you who advocate the fiscal responsibility

yeah sure why instead we all become doctors that will solver the problem

well kid let me tell you something

if the basic cost of living is around $1800 a month

and you pay the people $1200 or $1600 a month

    for definition that is slavery

    Nope.

The decade following the federal minimum wage increase in 1996-1997 ushered in one of the strongest periods of job growth in decades.

Analyses of states with minimum wages higher than the federal floor between 1998 and 2003 showed that their job growth was actually stronger overall than in states that kept the lower federal level.

The most sophisticated minimum wage study to date, published in November 2010 by economists at the University of Massachusetts, University of North Carolina, and University of California, compared employment data among every pair of neighboring U.S. counties that straddle a state border and had differing minimum wage levels at any time between 1990 and 2006, and found that minimum wage increases did not cost jobs.

A companion study published in April 2011 found that these results hold true even during periods of recession and high unemployment.

The only people who actually only earn the minimum wage are those will no skills and no work experience and that is mostly young people and when you raise the minimum wage the result is few jobs for those people

You are correct. People don't understand basic economics. They don't understand that every action has a consequence.

Like this max hoopla who this you can fix a problem caused by big government with more government. I personally would give minimum wage workers more tax breaks while simultaniously slashing spending.

Though I think republicans are wrong too since we could easily cut the military in half and still be fine.

The alternative is for taxpayers to subsidize them so they can continue to live.
