Tips on Canadian cell phone use in the US?

Hi,

My family is taking a 2 week vacation to Florida this fall. We currently each have cell phones (all on separate plans with various providers) and were trying to figure out the most economical way to stay in touch with each other while we're down there. Our usage would be minimal, mostly just to text or call each other about where to meet when we split up for the day.

I've heard some people suggesting we just get new pay-as-you-go phones when we arrive there. Others recommend getting temporary travel plans for our current phones.

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

In older records you may not be able to find a birth certificate but may be able to find a birth date from other records. For example the social security death index will usually give you a birth date, or a tombstone at the cemetery. I have done quite a bit of research without certificates I do realize they are not necessarily 100% accurate but neither are birth certificates especially for ancestors farther back because a lot of times they applied for delayed birth certificates and gave the wrong date. If you would like i will be happy to help with your gggrandparents. Just send me an email with the information you have on your ggrandparents where they were born where they lived and died etc. I will send the information i found and how I found it.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:

Get the identity of an unknown caller.

    Identify an area code.

Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.

Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

Check with each provider. They all have different rules when not in your home area.

If its not a major brand, they might not even offer service in the U.S.

Check on the service for calls, text (both regular and picture), and data usage (smart phones update even if you dont make calls).

Cell plans are getting better. We have unlimited US and Canada on our and it's not exorbitant. It's probably worth it.
