iPhone versus Samsung Galaxy?
I'm getting a new phone and I honestly don't know which to get.
I already have an iPod, so I have a lot of music, apps, etc set up with iTunes. But I've heard the Galaxy is currently the best phone on the market.
Tell me the pros & cons? Which phone is better? Which type of Galaxy is best?

"I'm getting a new phone and I honestly don't know which to get."
You get the one that does what you want and costs no more than you'd like to pay.
Each phone has its advantages. Do you really think that one phone is better than the other in every way and that millions of people just got the wrong phone?
"I've heard the Galaxy is currently the best phone on the market."
It is, for people who love what the Galaxy has that's lacking in Apple.
Depending on whom you ask, either a Galaxy is the best on the market or an iPhone is.
You should have asked people who thought one way WHY they loved the phone.
iPhone
Pros - uses iTunes (if you like that). You won't have to buy Android versions of your current apps. Apple reliability a plus.
Cons - uses iTunes (if you can't stand that). You can only use iTunes (a definite con since iTunes restricts your ability to copy FROM your phone - a problem for thousands of clueless people who spend hundreds of dollars on computers yet don't know that they can easily copy hundreds of mp3 files to blank DVD). You can't change the battery (or charge a spare); You can't use microSD cards, meaning that 1) you have to use iTunes, 2) you can't increase your phone's capacity and 3) if your phone dies, it's taking its unsaved secrets to the grave.
Galaxy -
Pros - Android is pretty reliable by now and has a huge app base; Android gives you more control of your media; Galaxy;s allow you to remove your own battery and use microSD cards.
Cons - You don't get that fabled Apple reliability. You won't be able to use your iOS apps.
I would put off any purchase until the new iPhone is released. Current rumors point to 9/10 as the announcement date. Even if you don't get the new iPhone (or any iPhone) you'll likely spend less and keep your options open.

If you have an iPad and a MacBook as well, I would suggest you stick with the iPhone (better syncing between all the devices).
If you only have an iPod and want something different then go for the Samsung Galaxy S4, you won't regret it.
I had an iPhone 4S before switching to the Samsung Galaxy Note II and now I cannot go back. It is worth it.

Both phones are great, but I prefer the Galaxy
Pros for the Galaxy:
Free apps, less expensive, more customization, can remove battery, better camera, bigger screen
Cons: Battery life sucks, phone is thin and will need extra protection
Pros for Iphone:
Beautiful screen, simple, heavier, hard to scratch, long battery life
Cons: Expensive, cannot remove battery, freezes often, have to pay for apps.
Hope this helped :-)
