Poll: What do you identify yourself as?

Atheist, and I am atheist, one of the few things I am sure of in life.

I hate being labelled "an atheist" (and would prefer to be called a "humanist" if you want to put it that way) because I don't go round all day, everyday saying "I'm an atheist, I'm an atheist", there are billions of other aspects as to how I live my life it's just when God comes into the equation I don't do anything because I feel like he's driving me.

But yeah I'd prefer to put "atheist" than put the culturally accepted "Church of England" as we Brits tend to (or in my case, I was christened "Roman Catholic") because I feel if enough of us do this and drop tradition something might be able to be done about it.

Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part but I do honestly believe one day religion will be gone forever. It would be arrogant to think it will happen during my short time on this Earth but it will do and that's what's exciting.

It depends on the choices offered.

I'm definitiely NOT a secular humanist.I consider myself atheist, but sometimes "not religious" is the closest choice offered. In fact, when I was in the Army even "not religious" wasn't an option. The closest choices were "No Religious Preference" or "Other."

I typically respond with something like "I reject all religion." I don't think saying you're atheist is really answering the question because atheism has nothing to say about religion. It only addresses whether someone believes a god exists.

Secular humanist is just a fancy name for atheist lol. I consider myself Uniterean-Universalist/Atheist.

I say I'm not religious. When it comes to the census and other forms, I always check the "none" box on the religion section.

I would consider myself an agnostic just because I prefer it over atheism. However, you could call me an agnostic atheist and I wouldn't mind. It all comes down to perception.

I just say I'm not really religious and all of it is all the same stupid crap anyways.

Besides which, considering the question is usually asked of me once every decade or so, it's not really an issue.
