This is one of my favorite poems i've wrote...the "meter" or flow (not an iambic or anything just syllable count) i made up....6667666766613 has meaning to that as well...the 666 syllable parts are dark, the 7 syllables is less dark the 13 is both good and evil, lucky or un-lucky ^_~

    "My Love"

    Bloom ancient deity

    the whisper of ill screams,

the black vein of the crow,

shine gloom of white mistress night

    with gown of blacken rope.

    Slim sight and diamond eyes

    beauty queen of pale kings,

i betroth your hand in dream.

My lips drip blood in touch

    legs quiver with hearts shake

    our eyes entwined in fate.

take me tonight, hands held, hostile smiles, loves reach and free.

edit: haha i just remembered this one a friend wrote that gave me a good laugh.

    roses are red

    violets are blue

    some poems rhyme

    this one doesn't.

    Coney Island

    We were young then

    kneeling happy by the tide

    and it was pure

    momma waves drowsy

    smiling from the blanket

    and all was love

    and with clam shell shovels

we add sand to a wall

that will hold back the ocean

How about this classic nursery rhyme:-

    Georgie Porgie

    Georgie Porgie pudding and pie,

Kissed the girls and made them cry

When the boys came out to play,

    Georgie Porgie ran away.

You can't expect me to compete with the masters that have submitted here! I will quote my favorite instead-

    Fuzzy Wuzzy

    was a bear

    Fuzzy Wuzzy

    had no hair

    Fuzzy Wuzzy

    Wasn't very Fuzzy

    was he?

    You are my Yo-Yo man

take me in your hand, I'm your spinning weal

Twirl me high to the sky

then go down to the ground

    whip me round and round

    I'm your spinning weal

    Your my Yo-Yo man .

Don't pinch this Poem , I think it might be a classic one day when I have it published :)

    To rhyme is sublime,

not to rhyme is a crime.

    The sentence? Hard time,

    locked up with a mime

    or a tick bearing lyme.

Here's to the ones who can

    do it

    and

Here's to the ones who can"t

    do it.

    Might the ones who can

    do it

show the ones who can't do it

    how to do it

    and

    here's to it!

    Cheers, *pops* a Heineken

    Once upon a time

    I decided not to rhyme

    I was hated

    berated

    greekly

    demasculated

    but now I

    do whatever

    the hell I please

    for better

    or

    verse.
