Can I ask the government what Information it tracks about me using the Freedom Of Information Act?
I buy guns and ammunition online, I talk to my friends about shooting and conceal carry, hitting center mass, etc. All legal but could trigger an investigation or cause them to start tracking me. Shooting could be considered training for acts against the government. Are they tracking this question because of the terms I've used?
Ok, so tracks was probably a poor term, how about actually views, stores to build a file(person of interest). Maintains a file(old use for paper file, a central location with data combined from many types of I/P vs. just being part of mega data where nothing specific from many locations directly relating to my activity)

It doesn't work that way.
You have to submit a request to each government agency individually.
FBI, DEA, FDA, USDA, JUSTICE, IRS, etc.
You can ask for all records containing your name.
Don't expect much.
Go to the FOIA page on each agency's website.
Look at usa.gov for agency page links.

Yep you can totally ask!
except your going to be, most likely speaking to a republican who doesn't like the fact this is public now (even though no one likes the patriot act, the ones who do think no one was paying attention when it passed....when in actuality, everyone hates how stupid these people in denial are and still are).
So, you'll get either a really sarcastic answer, a lie or a walmart get rid of the customer fast answer.
Here's what's tracked.
Everything (for computers), you can see through the visual display (they have made laws, which in the 80's, enabled all devices with video output, to be reversible as camera's as well. All things with screens can be tapped into an used as a camera.) So ALL of that video footage of your face and the things your BIOS doing (your computer is SOLEY controlled by the bios, the thing that you originally install windows on).
So EVERYTHING on a computer.
Then, even though the FORCE of people who stop things, can see this. Most likely they will just ignore the things they always see. But BOB or Jamus, the programmer (like McGee on NCIS), will see everything. Because someone has to moniter all incoming info.
Someone actually has access 100% of the time.
100% GROSS!!!
Then, technically, there's something about Light Bulbs and electrical outlets and stuff, they track your engineered things (like objects).
Then, just off the voices and vibrations can 3D model the inside of the house and completely track everything. Just if they wanted.
They can see just, those, few, little things. They track all that, so they wont beable to....track...your...
Well, one day, something they don't track will come out and it will be great.
Because they can track how much and what type of exercise you do. Even your eating habits.

You can ask; but, why do you care?
I don't cheat on my wife, do [or sell] drugs and pay my taxes. I don't care if they track me.
