Is it odd we never see Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch race each other?
Arguably the two biggest Nascar stars going right now. Seems like much of the time if one is not winning, the other one is, but I can't think of one race where they battled each other for the win. Why aren't these guys running into each other more often?

Well Kyle is almost always leading in the early stages of a race. Then he runs the wheels off of his car and has to adjust to get back up there. JJ just hangs around adjusts for the end of the race, then the 48 team springs to life and is out front when it counts. Differant racers entirely. Kyle is all Go all the time, JJ is like a fox patiently watching a hen house he springs to attension when the day is closing and the meal is his for the taking.

I think it's the simple fact that the 48 is almost always at least a little better than the 18; Kyle always seems to be having solid runs in the top 10, but Jimmie is almost always in a top 3 or 5 position throughout most races. Kyle tends to make it up there at some point in the race, but Jimmie gets up there and typically stays there, and by the time Kyle does find his way towards the top, the 48 crew has had time to get the car even better.
The 48 is almost always at least a tick better than about anyone else in the field, just enough to get ahead of crews like the 18.

That is a great question. I would love to see that, but good and bad luck have a lot to do with it. Since they only race together in the sprint car races and the way they start generally puts a lot of other cars between them. Kyles sprint car and crew are not as good as his Nationwide team. I suspect that has a lot to do with it.

there is a truth there, isnt there? Weve never seen them clash, but perhaps the reason we dont is because they respect each other and were previously teammates. Maybe theres not much to show on TV.

Kyle isn't as big of a star as the 2012 Cup Champion.
Get your facts straight and re-evaluate the situation and you might understand what's going on a little better
