Its not religious faith. I think we are supposed to have faith in a higher purpose.
"Your primary lessons on this plane are FAITH and love. These are not the only lessons, but the primary ones. You are not working to become perfect, nor can you ever be entirely free of emotion while in human form or within third density. Rather, you are working toward what we would call equanimity with emotions, where the rising of an emotion no longer leads to reactivity.
You keep returning to the physical plane, practicing faith and love, learning to move beyond reactivity to the emotional body. When you accept the arising of emotions non-judgmentally, make friends with yourself let us say, then and only then are you ready to learn lessons of non-judgment to others."

Religion and Faith are two completely different things.
Anyone can be religious if they do things often enough, doesnt matter what it is.
Faith is to have belief in God and knowing who the real Jesus is: the Son of God, and not God the son..

If you put the question the other way round, it would be like : What if there was no religion?
If you abide by its rules (whichever it might be), it will always lead you to the right way of living and therefore bring about happiness, harmony and peace. Even if God does not exist, but the rules are there and are being followed, to maintain that equilibrium. Else people would be only animals, killing each other, straying from the right way of living, etc.

Faith in God is one of the things required for eternal life. That's pretty important.
"Prove yourself faithful even to death, and I will give you the crown of life." Revelations 2:10

The mystery's of faith an GOD are beyond human comprehension.
Faith concerns questions which cannot be settled by evidence.
You can't see the wind, but you know it is there because you can see what the wind is doing. You can know that the wind is there because you can feel it.God is like the wind, you can't see him.

WHO know who is right and who is wrong, Muslims say we are the right one and we connect to God. Christians say we love and Jesus is the Son of God, and Jews say we are the right ones. Isn't it shame to fight over a peace of land because of some books. For me, Christians are better than others because they believe in love. But tell me which one is the right religion? No one knows. I'm proud to be a human and not belonging to any books and buildings.
