Why do bodybuilders have large stomachs but very low body fat?
I see this often with bodybuilders. They have large bellies and yet their six packs are ripping. Is it simply to store the large amount of foods they eat everyday, or the added protein intake?
I'd really appreciate an elaborate answer

Their "large bellies" are muscle. Being that the core of the body (stomach and lower back) are primarily supported by muscle, not bone structure, the muscles grow and are defined differently than other muscles in the body that are linked directly to and/or along bones. A truly toned stomach does not bulge when one as recently eaten, because all of the muscles tightly keep all of the soft tissue organs in their rightful places, including the food as it is digested.

Their large bellies are just very well developed abdominal muscles.
Abs are a very large muscle and if you train it as well and as hard as bodybuilders - it will 'swell' up.
On a side note- for your actual stomach to increase size to a point where it's visible, you would need to consume 10 times the amount of normal food.
Bodybuilders diet is usually nearly perfect. Contrary to popular belief - bodybuilders don't drink a lot (or any protein shakes).
Their diets consists 99% of unprocessed, healthy foods (your chicken/meat/fish/veggies)
