Teens: When was the last time you read good news?

About the new mammal that was discovered.

BQ: They met in high school in Chemistry class haha. Both of them were athletes. My dad was in football and my mom was a swimmer and soccer player. They were like 16/7 when they started dating. They had their first child (my sister) at 26, and had me at 29 and my brother at 32. So, they had me 13 years after they started dating. They are still married, their anniversary is in a couple days, it will be 28 years of marriage, 33 years of being together as a couple.

I don't really watch the news either.. Last thing I saw was a young boy who rescued a little girl from a man who kidnapped her. I was watching the conference though. The little girl was gone for about two hours after they found her. The boys were like 14 or 15. And chased the guy on their bikes until he dropped the little girl out of his car, then they carried her to the closest firemen from the search party. I thought that was so awesome. But the part that made me cry was: during the conference, they said there were signs that the little girl was sexually abused by the man who took her. She was only 5 years old or so. So sad. But I'd be so grateful to those boys that found her.

BQ: My mom and dad were working at a bank together processing loans. My mom was going through a divorce with my brother's dad. I know that sounds wrong. They were already separated for over a year. They just couldn't afford the divorce. But yea, my mom and dad met there and started dating. My mom and dad were very on and off. I don't want to say it, but they both had many other potential suitors. My dad casually dated other women at that bank. My mom dated a few other guys too. And when they fought, they'd go back and forth. Their relationship wasn't that great. On one of their breaks, my mom found out she was pregnant. And they kept arguing. She got an abortion. Then after having the abortion, they both felt so sad about it that I guess it brought them back together for a short time. 4 months after the abortion, my sister was conceived. While my mom was pregnant with my sister, my dad was finishing up college. And only a few weeks after my sister was born, I was conceived. So my sister and I are only 10 months apart. My dad bought a house for all of us. Then my mom had a break down when I was around 2 years old. She did a bunch of bad things to my dad. She had all these delusions that he was satanic and he was cheating on her. My mom cheated on my dad to "get back at him" when he didn't do anything to her. Then they broke up. My dad was so fed up with my mom's behavior that he just left and moved up to northern california.

And that is the short-lived story of my parents' relationship. They never got back together. My mom never admitted her mistakes. My dad never apologized for getting so frustrated.

BQ: My parents met in a club because my dad was macking on my aunt, but he wound up going for my mom instead. I was born about 5 years after.

I believe a week ago but I don't remember the story.

And I was born a year and some months after they married... after less than 7 months of dating...
