Do the Mcdonald's in your town allow people to walk through the drive thru even when the inside is open?

I'm curious because there's only one that I know of that does this, the one I work at, and maybe the few others owned by the person who owns mine allows it at their stores as well, but I'm not sure. The one I worked at in a different town before wouldn't allow it for safety reasons and I totally agree. Are owners/operators allow to set their own rules on this sort of thing?

No they don't nor do other businesses with a drive in window like other fast food places and banks. As you say, it's a safety hazard. You can't walk through rather the inside is open or not.

Nope. The Mcdonald's drive thrus here are really busy, so you can't walk in the drive thru for safety reasons. You can't even go in with a bike.

The two McDonald's in my town want let people walk through the drive-thru at all, because it's too dangerous with all the traffic in the area.I have heard of people saying they done that before, but i haven't seen anyone doing that.

I did that once in a kinda small town because the inside was closed and my truck was too high.

Was close to midnight and I was working that night. I wanted a burger and a coffee.

The girl was surprised and I said is it OK?

No one else was around and it was probably closed for her safety.

She didn't ask the manager and just gave me my order.

    I pointed out my truck.

Our McDonald's has a constant stream of traffic. It would be so dangerous to allow that. My husband was a manager of one in a very small town. They would ride horses through the drive through.
