How to make my wifi signal stronger?

College student living on campus. My dorm happens to be a bomb shelter that cant pick up any signal from the university's wifi . Is there a device i can buy to help increase the signal?

    I suggest you contact your uni computing service or whoever is in charge of wireless in your area, and tell them about your problems. Particularly if it's part of your agreed service that you're paying for. They will just need to add in an extra access-point and add it to their infrastructure. Or they might provide you with a wired point, if that's any use (possibly not if you're reliant on wireless).

    They're likely to be unhappy if you try to set up your own wifi (even if that were possible), so play by their rules!

    A wireless repeater does what you want. It takes one signal, and rebroadcasts it.

    you can make your own wifi signal extender out of household items..google it..cheers
