Who is what in Law? Relation through Marriage.?

Okay so my mother always told me that the parents of the bride and groom just become in-laws once the couple is married.

But I saw something recently that made me wonder about that.

It stated that the father of the bride was the brother-in-law of the Grooms mother and father and that the Grooms mother was the Brides father's sister-in-law and the Grooms father was the Brides fathers brother-in-law. Note the Bride and Groom aren't related at all, not cousins or anything.

So is this just a typo or when I get married will my future husbands parents become my mom's sister and brother-in-law?

The parents are nothing to each other. Your husband's sister will be your sister in law, but her husband is nothing to you. Your brother will be your husband's brother in law, but his wife will be nothing to your husband. Technically, it is only the blood relatives who are in laws, but most families call the spouses in laws, just to keep things running smoothly.
