why is yahoo mail too narrow too comfortably read?
My Yahoo mail in my inbox is suddenly too narrow to read. I can't see the entire email in one glance and have to slide the margin on the bottom left and right for each line - I need to see the open email not parts of it to understand the whole picture. How do I do this? There is much empty space on the left by the folders - its wider than it usually is and there is a wide blank column on the right side where my email use to extend. This is a horrible way to view mail. How do I get the width back in the email?

I haven't changed the size of my monitor which is quite large. I have read all the yahoo how-to's many times. The fact is there is a large white space on the right side of my yahoo mail message box that is quite empty and useless and my emails are very long and narrow and I have to go up and down and left and right to view many of them, particularly mail from businesses such as receipts and orders. I already have POP mail for other mail. Just left wondering why the free version lost its simplicity.
I've found my own work-around-solution to the problem of unreadable yahoo mail that may interest others.
Not all the emails are unreadable, but those that present themselves as long an narrow and therefore partially hidden may easily be forwarded to my POP email. Once there they can be opened up full screen where they fill the screen perfectly.

If the new full-featured version of Yahoo mail isn't for you, you should check out Yahoo Basic. Your email is displayed in page view (25 emails per page) and you have the standard First page, Next page, Previous page, and Last page controls.

If Yahoo Basic doesn't suit you, you could upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus and use one of the many email programs to download your email directly to your computer, thereby avoiding the new format entirely.

I tried to answer this but suddenly my message just blinked and disappeared. Was this perhaps because I was complaining? I will try again. My emails disappear from my Inbox every time I turn off my computer. I do not want this to happen and have said that I prefer to delete my own emails when I am ready. I have received some sort of garbled 'how to cure this error' but, as I don't understand it, I am not having much luck. My friends just think I don't answer them and don't realise that I haven't still got their messages in front of me to answer. A very unsatisfactory state of affairs!

The width of your email page also has a lot to do with the size of your monitor.
