1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail7 years agoyahoo mail does not remember my username or password every time?
I have checked the box for signing in every two weeks - yet every time I go to yahoo mail - even in the same day - it requires me to sign in. I'm using Firefox. It used to work fine for me then one day I put in the wrong password by mistake and I then put in the right one but from that day on it always asks me to sign in again - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/ask?title=yahoo+... time! Really getting sick of this.
2 AnswersPassword and Sign In7 years agowhy is yahoo mail too narrow too comfortably read?
My Yahoo mail in my inbox is suddenly too narrow to read. I can't see the entire email in one glance and have to slide the margin on the bottom left and right for each line - I need to see the open email not parts of it to understand the whole picture. How do I do this? There is much empty space on the left by the folders - its wider than it usually is and there is a wide blank column on the right side where my email use to extend. This is a horrible way to view mail. How do I get the width back in the email?
Thanks
Frustrated!
4 AnswersOther - Yahoo Mail8 years agoCan I automatically forward email from one person only, to another email account?
I know I can manually forward mail, and also I can automatically filter particular emails to a folder such as trash, but I need to filter email from a particular person to another yahoo account. It's hard to believe that this can't be done somehow. Is there a way? If not from yahoo then what about from another email account all together. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks.
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail8 years agomicrowave oven trips protected socket but not regular socket - dangerous?
Hi,
My microwave oven over-heated pea soup that boiled over and even seeped out the door onto the counter. After cleaning up the mess it would not work and I noticed that the protected socket had tripped and the red switch was sticking out. Every time I pushed the red button in, it popped out again even though the microwave is turned to the off position and even though nothing else shares the protected sockets and all other appliances were unplugged and the kitchen light off. I tried unplugging the microwave and replugging it and the red button pops out just by merely trying to plug it in even though I know the power to be in the off position; It won't even allow me to plug it in!
However, the main switch is still not tripped.
Despite this, the microwave will work in an unprotected socket in another room and so far (after a two very short uses) has not tripped the main switch box.
It seems to me to mean that the circuit over load in my microwave is large enough to trip the red button by protecting the outlet but not large enough to trip the main switch and if so what does that mean in terms of wasted electricity and more importantly safety?
Knowledgeable advice appreciated,
Thanks.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow to stop members adding people-me/you to yahoo groups without permission?
According to yahoo groups information, its against the Yahoo! Groups Terms of Service to add people to your group without their permission - so how come I was added to the group BEACON-2 without giving permission -- or even being asked or invited to join?
I received an email from a yahoo group telling me they added me to their group and that I would get emails from the group as well as members. I immediately went to the group and unsubscribed. This is annoying and an invasion of my privacy. I tried to find the proper email address to voice my complaint but (of course) this is not easily found. Is their as least a way to disallow this practice in preferences or my profile before it starts?
ANNOYED!
1 AnswerYahoo Groups1 decade agoWhy does Google say my IP address is someone else's in the Google Phone Book?
When I put my IP address in the Google search box, up pops up the Google Phone book at the top of the page listing someone else's name, address, and phone number? What a creepy feeling this gives me! This person is on the other end of the continent from me. I then looked up this person's name in Google Search and up came a technical page with ta message from this person explaining about capturing an IP address of a visitor. OK - so why does Google think my IP address is this other persons? It worries me.
2 AnswersGoogle1 decade agoMy computer can't watch you-tube videos anymore - why?
Watching You-Tubes is like watching a bouncing ball with lots of freezes.
I also have a subscription to Netflix but cant watch instant movies there either (there's no way to download them to watch on my PC
I have NO viruses.
Netflix says my pc connection is jumpy and to talk to my broadband company. My internet uses Astound broadband 6mgs. They sent some one to the house who examined all my connections said must be my system is old. But it was working up to a few months ago!! It's the same system.
OK so my pc is around 9 or 10 yrs old. I installed more memory cards and have plenty of ram.
Intell pentium 111 processor
449 MHz 768 MB or RAM
MS Windows XP

Service Pack 3
Help! I can't afford to run out and buy a new PC because no one understands the problem.
5 AnswersYouTube1 decade agoWant nicer Yahoo ads & remove the ugly wrinkled boogey man face off of homepage?
Well, good luck trying!! They do not respond to my pleas.
In yahoo my-account, I changed my sex from Female to Male, and even decreased my age a few decades in hopes of finally getting rid of those gross, ugly, sadly fallen female faces that become young again when my pointer floats over them.
Well, guess what? They said it would take a few weeks for changes to take effect and now, weeks later,
I get to be repelled by ugly boogy man faces popping up on my home page. He also changes to a youthful face when my pointer accidentally wanders near his face.
Yahoo, do we need this unpleasant reminder of what's in store for us all?
I would like to stay with yahoo if they would be more considerate. Has anyone launched a campaign yet to get Yahoo to get nicer ads I wonder?
Please don't tell me, what do you expect for free? If anything,, being old and poor too, is more reason Yahoo should be compassionate. Were not asking to stop all ads, just those offensive ugly face ones that take up half the space of our screens off out homepage!
