My computer can't watch you-tube videos anymore - why?
Watching You-Tubes is like watching a bouncing ball with lots of freezes.
I also have a subscription to Netflix but cant watch instant movies there either (there's no way to download them to watch on my PC
I have NO viruses.
Netflix says my pc connection is jumpy and to talk to my broadband company. My internet uses Astound broadband 6mgs. They sent some one to the house who examined all my connections said must be my system is old. But it was working up to a few months ago!! It's the same system.
OK so my pc is around 9 or 10 yrs old. I installed more memory cards and have plenty of ram.

449 MHz 768 MB or RAM
MS Windows XP
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
Help! I can't afford to run out and buy a new PC because no one understands the problem.

the problem is the video and internet card, I understand about the money issue, I have the same problem, all you can do is upgrade the video and internet card, I always recommend a 128 mb but I don't know if your system can take that, but you do have a seriously old computer and the best bet might be to salvage it for parts and with the few dollars go out and buy the cheapest computer you can find, I got mine at future shop for 620 canadian with 3 years warranty, it has 3 gigs of ddr3 ram, a 512 mb video card, 500 gigs sata hard drive, a 2.6 GHz dual core processor and it came with everything needed to make it up and running except for the monitor (which I already had, but am trying to sell for a better one), but from what you are telling me I think the problem is the internet or video card, youtube cannot run on old 32 or 64 mb video card, I tried and it fried everything I had in my old computer. if you have any more questions e mail me or visit my channel and leave a comment, it is shaynesaulnier (I am friends with a few people, however I have no clips of my own yet)

Youtube change to the new version so that many downlaoders do not work. we update our softwarer to go with the new version, the good thing is, u still can get free videos from from Youtube, Google, Metacafe, Putfile, ...

you need to remove the old flash player first then download the new one from the link on youtube. i had the same problem and that the only way mine would work

it could be due to high traffic.
Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.
By the way, you could watch it offline smoothly... try using "ZILLA TUBE" .
