chevy silverado blinkers erratic at night?
I have a 97 Silverado and when it becomes dark enough for the sentinel to turn on the headlights my blinkers go crazy. the front blinkers are fine but the back ones will light up the opposite way that I'm turning and the brake lights will flash with the blinker while my parking lights become my brake lights. also the blinkers will not turn on as long as I am pushing on the brakes. was wondering if anybody has had this happen and knows what's going on, is the twilight sentinel bad or do I have a short somewhere? thanks

Check at the rear of the back bumper behind the license plate under the truck. There is a block that your tail lights and tow package harness plug into. Unplug all three connections and spray with electrical cleaner and plug back in. Could possible be full of dirt and road grime and not allowing for a good ground to your tail lights. Check this first because it is easy and all you need is a $3 can of electrical cleaner to check this out. Maybe a easy, inexpensive fix, sure worth a try. Had the same problem with my cruise control working on a 2000 Silverado a this fixed it, Good luck with electrical problems, they can be a nightmare sometimes.
