Why does Colt McCoy suck??

I remember back in his college days he was a really good QB but now he is horrible why is that????? I mean I know that sometimes talent doesn't translate to the pros but he is just horrible. Did he get injured while with the Browns or what?

BQ: Tebow or McCoy?

Colt McCoy-lack of arm strength, doesn't throw a tight spiral, does not throw on the run well enough to make up for his poor pocket presence.

He isn't very big, and he doesn't have a great arm. At Texas, he was a very accurate Quarterback, and was a very underrated running QB. He lead the team in rushing all four years. As a Longhorn fan, it's a shame to see him struggle in the NFL, he's always been one of my favorites. Seems that it's been all downhill since he got hurt int he National Championship Game against Alabama.

BQ: I'd rather take McCoy. The reason Denver made that big run was because their running game and defense were extremely dominate. Tebow wasn't all that great.

I agree with you on McCoy and Tebow 100%, and to an extent on Bradford, but I'll have to disagree with you on Clausen (who for the record I personally dislike as a Michigan fan, but he's still a legit QB). To say that Clausen has "no arm" is nothing short of ludicrous. His arm isn't on the level of somebody like Matt Stafford or Josh Freeman, and he does float his deep balls too much, but besides that he has every bit of arm strength necessary to attack all levels of the field with more than enough zip to fit passes into tight windows. He's also deadly accurate, and actually throws difficult passes, unlike the other 3 QBs that made a living off high percentage passes and their receivers getting yards after the catch. Its easy to attribute his success to his NFL caliber receiving corps, but if you watch him play you'll see that his ball placement is top notch. He also would have been a fool to stay at Notre Dame. He just came off a great season, there's much less competition at the QB position this year than next (which could have Ryan Mallet, Jake Locker, Andrew Luck and Christian Ponder, all legit first round QB prospects) and he'd take a step back in his readiness to run an NFL playbook since Brian Kelly runs a straight spread offense, as opposed to Charlie Weis' more pro style system. I think that when Jake Locker comes out next year (assuming he has a good season) he will be a better prospect than anybody in this year's class, but Clausen is more experienced than him at this point

It seems like a lack of confidence. I watched every game he played at Texas and he is so much more hesitant with his throws. It's a shame, I thought he was going to be an excellent quarterback.

BQ: McCoy, easily. Tebow isn't a quarterback.

He was lucky to be drafted and actually paid to be horrible, I don't feel sorry for him. I would never have drafted him, didn't like him coming out of college.
