What is permanent domicile?

I'm working on a short paper for school, concerning immigration, but I cannot find any legal definition as to what Permanent Domicile means.

With searches, I find the use of Permanent Domicile, but nothing that explains exactly what it means.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Update:

thanks. I'm looking for documentation (ie a court case, legal books) that define the term. I understand that it can mean your place of residence, but need a legal source that says "permanent domicile is the place you live" type of reference.

all i can find in a search is "permanent domicile is needed..." etc, without any explanation as to what it means.

A permanent domicile is a place where a person lives, and intends to continue to live for the indefinite future. (In case a person has multiple homes, the one where they spend most of their time is usually counted.)

    google search "define permanent domicile".

It simply means your place of residence....where you live.
