Typical airliners fly at 30,000 - 40,000 feet above sea level.

The Concorde could go as high as 60,000 feet.

The SR-71 flew up to 85,000 feet. That's pretty much the highest any manned plane routinely flew. Higher flights have been done with experimental rocket planes and pushing planes above their normal limits for brief times.

The record for a jet-powered plane is 123,520 ft in a MiG-31 (normal max altitude 67,600 ft)

The SpaceShipOne rocket plane reached 367,441 ft.
