Greetings. My name's Sanjay Patel, and I currently hold an honorary Master's degree in the field of Computer Science. I am aware of, and have personal knowledge related to your question. There are computer maintenance businesses which are probably in your area, however they come at the cost of hiring a professional to enter your home. There may also be some local destinations where you can drop off your computer and wait to have a technician look at it. These options can often be costly, and pretty inconvenient. The answer to this question can probably be found doing a little extra research on Google.

A well-running computer can be a hard thing to maintain. From my experience, there is but only One software which is reputable- and consistently reliable for healing sick, slow computers. Reimage™ is a world-renown, easy to use software designed by Forensic scientists and made for the average person. This thing will fix literally just about ANY problem you could possibly be having with your PC. Reimage was recommended to me by a Professor during my 2nd year of Graduate school.

I favor BitDefender Total Security myself, You pay 79.95 and it comes with Antivirus, Identity Protection, Parental Control, Firewall, Facebook guardian (really nice feature), Safe shopping, Antispam, Tune-up, Online Storage, and Device Anti-Theft. The only thing with the Identity protection is it costs a monthly fee to activate this feature. It also is Non-intrusive and you are able to install it on 3 computers.

I would imagine Kaspersky is the same way, but when I had Kaspersky I didn't care for it as much as I like BitDefender. If you play video games BitDefender will also automatically go into Game Mode so that it saves resources while you play your game. It blocks websites and email that has malicious code before I even get to see what was there leaving me little to worry about as far as a manual or scheduled scan. (Although that don't stop me from scanning from time to time just in case).

I have had the free version of AVG, Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials, and even Clam and in comparison BitDefender totally blows them away. After your first year BitDefender will also send an email with a discounted price. I think last time I updated mine I payed $35.00 with their special discount, it's been almost a year though so I could be mistaken on the exact price. But, I do know it was pretty cheap.

Each new year I make it a point to check out all the anti-virus reviews so that I can compare what is offered and see how everyone else feels about the software prior to making my final decision to upgrade the software. After using BitDefender going on 4 years now, I would NEVER consider installing a free anti-virus again. Something with a better review yes, but free, not a chance.

I don't know where you say a internet security program for $99 but I'm sure you could find it cheaper some where else. There's no best one. That's just a fact. There are best ones for certain users, this is the one that runs good on your computer and that your feel comfortable using. There is a difference in some of the paid ones vs the free. You can get very good protection from free anti virus. Avast and Avira both do a good job.On par with many of the paid ones but not all.I like Internet security suites because they have more features and having an anti virus running with a firewall made by the same company does have some security benefits.

Avira or Avast, mixed in with a drop of MBAM is about all you need. Current alerts are either from an actual AV, or it's a virus itself trying to trick you into buying now...which will solve nothing. If you have Norton anything on your PC, get rid - properly, using the Symantec Removal Tool Don't bother with AVG, CCleaner or SpyBot Search and Destroy if you've been advised to use them. Best you can get for a home user if you want to pay for AV and firewall is ESET Smart Security. Well worth it.
