Ummm.. awkward question..?

I'm 18 and havent had a period in 4 years or so. I have had a few periods when puberty came but they were irregular and then stopped.

i went to the doctor a few days ago to get ovaries looked at. they are pretty well normal. then, the test results came in. apparently, my girly hormones are very, very low. they arent sure why. maybe the brain isnt sending the signals or the ovaries arent getting the signals, i dont have a clue. they said i have a low chance of ever making a baby. they want to run more tests but they are trying to find a doctor that will. so my questions are should i get the tests run? and will i ever have a baby?

**also, they put me on birth control for a while to see if it will work. will it?

    Nobody here can tell you that. You'll have to wait and see what the doctors say.

    I personally think the tests should be run, yes. The more info you have, the better. They will be doing tests to see what might work for you. Everyone is different.

    Will you ever have a baby? Maybe, maybe not. Look, even if the best doctors on the planet told you that you can't have one, miracles can still happen. Plus, science is finding new medications and making new discoveries all the time. What may not be possible now may be possible in the future.

    I would get the tests done. I have heard of birth control being used in that way before and working for some but not all. It can just kick start the system and get it going.

    As for having a baby, I was trying for 4 years with no luck. I had 3 fertility treatments and they all failed. I gave up all hope, and then I got pregnant naturally and now have a lovely baby boy. So even if it looks bleak, it might still happen.

    Yep get the tests.

    Will you have a baby? No one on here can answer that.

    And we also can't answer the birth control question either since none of us know how it's going to act with your body, it may or it may not, You'll just have to wait and see.

    defiantly get the test done. and a doctor can tell you yes or no on having a baby but only your body will decide that. people have been told over the years in your same situation that they will never be able to have a baby and they do. miracles happen. good luck!

    I'm not a doctor so I don't know if you'll ever be able to have a baby.

    Get a second opinion, go to a specialist
