Do all english decendants owe restitution payments to the Indians?

For killing them with small pox?

Or is it only a slavery thing?

I understand their ancestors suffered a lot, and most were killed, but the present-day English descendants don't owe restitution. Why? Just because we're a part of the race that committed these heinous crimes, doesn't mean each individual physically committed it, nor would they. Crimes and punishment can't be attached to and enforced on an entire race, culture, religion, nationality. . .that goes for all races, etc. Also, it wasn't only the English that did that, but other Europeans as well.

Yet, another thing to add, is there are plenty of people of European descent in the USA nowadays that don't have any ancestral link to the USA during the time of slavery or what was done to the Native Americans. I'm one of those examples. My family emigrated only in the last generation or two. Not all countries in Europe condoned or agreed with slavery and what was done to the Native Americans either. I strongly believe that the only person that should have to pay for a crime committed, is the individual that actually committed the crime. For example, if a black person shot a white person, it isn't right to pick up just any black person off the street, charge them and punish them for the crime. I know that has been done in the past, and it wasn't right. The same goes for all cultures.

People can only be responsible for themselves, not others. It isn't right to make people pay for crimes people committed well over one or two hundred years ago, because they wouldn't have been around to have an opinion, or attempt to stop it. I'm not a racist, I've never killed anyone, I never had a single write-up, suspension, etc. as the result of my behavior. I'm not intolerant of other religions, I'm not homophobic, and I treat others how I would like to be treated. So if I'm living my life with good morals and hurting no one, then why should I pay for the crimes someone committed more than a hundred years before I was born? I'd only see it as being punished for doing good, because I personally haven't done anything wrong.

I'm a Native American (meaning, a tribal member) and nobody owes me sheeeeit.

Do you believe in collective guilt and that the sins of the father should being extended to his sons? Or, in this case his gggggggggggg grandsons?

Your rhetoric is tired. There is no serious discussion in Indian Country about restitution or reparation or any of this nonsense. All we want is our sovereignty to be recognized and we'll pursue self-determination. Thanks for asking!

I don't owe them a thing. They can get jobs and pull their weight or they can rot in shacks.
