Is Wenger trying to annoy Arsenal fans on purpose now?

Arsenal really really really need to sign a real CDM, I seriously hope we get Lars Bender, he would be perfect for us. I would also like a Striker, a CB and a Keeper.

Football fans are very fickle and at the moment a lot of fans at the Emirates have become the same (yes me included lol). I mean the media have lead some Arsenal fans to believe that Mertesacker is a rubbish defender, which isn't the case, he's clearly the best centre back in the league. Some are so easily brainwashed into jumping to conclusions about transfers and stuff like that.

Also we ended up with that back four because Koscielny got sent off, and we where chasing the game so we sacrificed Sagna for Podolski.

Our squad is quite small yes..... but we will strengthen, Villa was a set back, but we've won our two games since.

He's right. Some of the stories just are completely ridiculous and are intentionally made to put to pressure on Arsene. Minutes after the win in turkey, that Benzema and Di Maria story was on BBC sports.

The debt for example, is not close to being paid off, it's a continuous myth. We still are £240m-£250m of debt from the Emirates. This £70m has been put together by members of the Arsenal heirachy and the War Chest. Effectively, we must have an outgoing of £20m-£25m towards that Emirates debt every year, which is why we have been so willing to sell over the years. But now, with this TV money, Sponsorship deals (£30m annually from Puma, and £30m annually from Fly Emirates) we can afford to hold our players and not HAVE to sell anymore,, and we can pay a little bit more.....we were never going to buy Ozil, Suarez and Hummels. Perhaps one of those players, but that was it.

The media can tell you what they like. Effectively, the media need people to read their stories and buy their papers....and how can you do that?...by giving the readers what they want....but not necessarily what is true. You have to sell it every day....so can you really have enough stories to fill your sports page every day? Around 1 in 3 sentences in a paper, is empty BS

Morale of the story?...don't believe everything you read in the press. Information has to pass through around 54 people before it gets to the headlines....you telling me there isn't a slight chance some of these stories have been invented?

If you are an arsenal fan, kudos to you as i think most fans have lost their sense of judgement and reality.

Wenger is robbing off the fans which they dont deserve.

I mean embarrasing losses against Bradford city, Blackburn were as if invented. This club is touching a new low every season, they are now challenged by spurs, everton which was once unthinkable.

As a utd fan,i still enjoyed watching arsenal not long until 2009, when fab,rvp and odrs were there. The club still had loans then, perhaps they dont want to admit that they turned greedy and wenger is himself enjoying a high salary.

I agree media is making too much, but i also believe that arsenal is not good enough and needs more than free transfers like flamini and sanogo (in fact the players who were released were better,as they had the cohesion).

But most importantly why arsene is wrong is because he lied about the war chest and ability to pay rooney's wages, he cheated his way into fans pockets and gave false aspirations and dreams, he could have said all this crap that "we have not lost players this season" and "we are good enough to win with this squad and we dont really need " .....he's cheating and all articles dont lie

Oh come on, who are you trying to kid? Are you telling me that When Arsenal fans say "Wenger has no ambition" they thought of that comment all by themselves? lol. Its become a cliche that was started by someone on tv. The same with the "Wenger is a dictator" and "Wenger is scared of spending". We could all name 10 more right now. Of COURSE there are fans who are brainwashed by the media. Most wenger-bashers come across like Jeremy Kyle guests, so if you think they thought of all these popular wenger-related cliches themselves then you are giving them way too much credit.

Ive even heard people begin to say "Arsenal have the same money as City and Chelsea, but they just dont choose to spend it". Another classic from Stewart Robson, to feed the low-IQ sheep fans.

Yes our squad is light right now, and Wenger has acknowledged this. Idiotic fans with no ambition are moaning that Wenger should just spend money for the sake of it. But Wenger actually has ambition to win things, and this means he is after top top quality, not just rubbish to make up the numbers. Ask Chelsea how they got on with Torres. Ask Liverpool about Carrol and Henderson. Ask Yids about Adebayor and Bentley. "Just spend some money" makes ME angry. Angry that my fellow gooners are so THICK.

Proper football fans know that the top players have been waiting to see if Arsenal get through the Champions league qualifier, and this means we wait until Wednesday for transfer activity.

What is wrong with wenger saying we shouldnt be angry? Frustration he will agree on, but anger? No. Wenger is playing this out correctly. If only we could just walk into a shop and buy top quality players like we buy our groceries (the Wenger-bashers seem to genuinely believe it is just like that lol).
