Can't feel my body while meditating?

So these past two nights I've been closing my eyes while I pray (catholic). I feel like I loose feeling of my hands touching my lap, my arms, my back when leaning against something. It's strangely peaceful.... what does this mean?

Sounds like you are just beginning to meditate. I always pray before meditating and definitely feel very light, almost like floating.

    I smell bullshit.

I meditate, not for religious purposes but to clear my mind and to shed stress. Strangely peaceful? Is this the first time you have meditated? lol

It means you're relaxed...the fact that you're praying doesn't mean ****. You could be on a couch watching tv and have the same thing happen. It's nothing special.

Sounds like maybe you should see a neurologist.
