Nervous about First football game?(freshman)?

I'm 4"11 an weigh about 104 Ibs this is my first time playing football. My 1st game is later on this week and I am scared to death about getting "killed" by the (6 foot tall, 150 Ibs) players on the other team. I'm also worried that I may screw the plays up just coza how nervous I'll be.. I know the routes and everything tho.

Don't worry about getting killed. You may be smaller but you'll also be more agile. As long as you can out manoeuvre them they won't stand a chance. Remember that for some players on the other team it's their first year as well. Show no fear only focus and superiority, get into the minds of your opponents and they won't be able to stop you. Football isn't only about being physically fit, it involves the mind, being able to react to any situation and showing confidence.

When you show confidence your opponents will begin to feel worried and they won't be able to play as well as they could.

--I played football for a year (had to stop because my grades where dropping). I was a lineman, one of the smallest in the league. Every game my opponents would make jokes during the beginning. I showed them no emotion, no fear no nothing. By the end of the game all I saw was the fear in their eyes. I reacted faster then them, (I played both ways) so I either blew past them or just completely pushed them back.

Dont worry about getting killed but prepare yourself because your smaller that most likely means when you get the hit the first few times its going hurt a little but after the first few plays it wont even bug you and since your smaller your faster than others so use to your advantage dont worry about messing and even if you do its only the first game so goodluck

I highly encourage you to join your high school freshman football team during this upcoming season. It is still not (yet) too late for you to start playing football.

Based on your height and weight, I believe that the best fit for you is at the wide receiver position. You have the ideal size for a high school freshman wide receiver. Keep in mind, some high school freshman wide receivers are shorter than 5 feet, and weigh less than 100 pounds.

Remember, the best way to prove yourself is through actions, not words. My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this autumn (and every offseason) is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your ability to take hits, as well as your chances of becoming a successful, top notch wide receiver in high school football, who could go on to play college football in the future.

Don't worry little bro. You wont see the field until you pack on a few pounds so just worry about growing a little more and furthering your football career if its something that you truly love doing
