If you buy the Nexus 4 from the Google store, will the network be unlocked?
Google have just reduced the price of the LG Nexus 4 to £159 so I was thinking of buying it sometime soon from the Play Store. What I want to know is if the phone will come unlocked so I can use a SIM card from any network, or will I have to get it unlocked?

Buy any device from playstore......be it Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 or Nexus 10. It will always be unlocked. Its even mentioned on the site.

Yes it's unlocked - I have one. It couldn't be locked really, as who would it be locked to!!
BTW, great phone, enjoy it!
