I'm owed money. What should I do?
A scrap metal company owe me about £450.
At the end of last year scrap yards were no longer allowed to pay cash for scrap and the company I use to take mine to started using a pre-paid card system. Despite several visits and attempts I still don't have my money.
The owner is very rarely there and I can't contact him.
What are my options?
I appreciate your advice and I do now use another firm.
Irrespective of that I want what I'm owed.

Stop using companies that have prepaid system. Come on guy, I need you to be smarter. We have been through a serious recession and going through a weak recovery. Stop trusting people because business is not based on trust anymore.. Get cash within your hand from the scrap metal company or take your items to another location.
Take the individual to court along with your documents, if you do not have proof and really what the money then the other outcome left is illegal actions(I do not suggest) but that is the only outcomes.
