Angelfish with swollen stomach?
I have 3 angelfish. 2 I've had for 6 months, they are blue marbles and they are huge. I've had the white one for almost 10 months. The marbles were the same size as the white one when I got them but now they are almost 3 times as big. The white one is still very small and hasn't grown in months.
I noticed today that the small ones stomach is really swollen. She's eating and swimming okay but I can tell something is wrong. Could it be swim bladder? I've heard of it but never actually seen it. What can I do to treat it before it gets worse or kills her??

It sounds like overfeeding.
Full grown angels need food every other day they also need very little.
Swim bladder happens when the bloated stomach is pushing on the bladder causing them to bloat and tilt around like drunks.
Stop feeding them for at least 2-3 days until they excrete the food.
EDIT: Mark, seriously? Angelfish are egg layers not livebearers. They do NOT hold the eggs. They spawn with a male and place the eggs immediately.]
EDIT 2: You are telling me fish get pregnant, like humans do, and go through a 9 month stage. Do you even know how fish actually breed? The male mixes his sperm in the water while the female releases her eggs, the two mix together in the water and create the zygote and then the eggs.
I'm sorry mark but you are hilarious. Great to know there are silly people like you in the world.

Pregnant!! Swim Bladder it would be Swimming on its side or very Irratically, she is Preggo for sure, Ive had breeding angel fish in a tank before - notice if it gets very defensive around a certain area - it will protect where the eggs are laid! if she gives birth it will be a lot fry you need to get a separate tank to put them in- the first time Angel fish give birth they don't really know what to do and will eat all their own babies - they think they are protecting them , after two or 3 attempts they will get it right and defend them and you should have some babies floating around :) Angel Fish are Cichlids they get Pregnant for 9 months and then lay eggs! it will have one of the other Angel Fish come over and help deliver the little ones while the father sits near and watches - trust me! my Angel fish spawned all her Eggs over my live plants there where eggs everywhere - but they stay preggers for 9 months like humans ASH doesn't have a clue - be ready for when it goers into labour tho it will get agro and will start blowing bubbles out its mouth!
Yes ASH - Fish get pregnant like humans do! first of all the Male Angel will court the female, take her on a date to a nearby plant , eat some bacteria floating around, they will kiss and rub each other for a few dates, then eventually he will get is fishy wiener into her fishy vag. Then the fun begins, they go to Doctor Fsh who does the tests and lets them know if she is preggo or not. then its just the normal run like humans First Trimester the Females hormones will go crazy - she will get angry and charge at the male fish a lot until her hormones calm down - the second trimester she will have calmed down a little and start gettinghorny - but lucky for MR Angel that she cant get preggo again - so he wont need to wear fishdoms. then you know the rest 9 months goes by and she goes into labour starts flapping her fishy butt around and spitting out babies blowing bubbles out her mouth in rage and then congrats they have their babies! :)
