Is the Holy Spirit something you turn on and off?

Sometimes I dont feel myself. Like it takes over me. Is it wrong to be myself sometimes.

    Sort of yes.

    Holy Spirit is the agency which tells you that something is wrong, for example, stealing or lying. Now, it is up to you whether you obey that 'voice' or reject it.

    No...However, you should ALWAYS be YOURSELF...CHRIST dwells in the BELIEVER..(not really sure about, what you meant by "be myself".. cause you are ALWAYS yourself).
