What is Windows Essential 2012?

I bought Dell laptop 2 1/2 months ago and looks like Dell installed it. I do have a paid antivirus, malwarebytes and super antispyware. Should I uninstall Windows essential?

Update:

Sandy, it does help. Now I have to figure out with the few people I e-mail whether I need another e-mail address. Although it gives me the opportunity to create a new name.

    windows essential is not misrosoft security essentials it used to be windows live it is for e-mails instant message photo sharing blogs etc etc . hope this helps.
