If you intend to keep her in your life, you better plan on visiting her 1x per month. And also plan on her visiting you 1x per month.

My boyfriend is in the marines and currently lives 900 miles away from me. We visit every other month and I'm moving down there in December. It costs us about $300 in gas to see each other (there and back). It really depends on how often you can afford to visit and how much free time you have to do so.
