My samsung galaxy s4 dies quickly?
So far within 30 mins i've lost 7% when i first got my new phone it did last a good long time but now give or take 5 hours it will be at 20% or lower. I'm not sure the problem or how to fix it.
I have my screen adjustment on, my other extra features are off only data, screen rotation and wifi is on. I also have lookout app, a weather app and my battery app running. In my battery use neither of the listed apps are being counted as the source of the drain. What can i do to fix it? And now within this question being typed I'm now at 91%

Lithium batteries are very bad to keep at 100% charge so it'll go through charging cycles whenever you plug it in and keep it on.
It will initially charge to 100% and then it'll allow itself to trickle the battery life down to like 90% and then charge itself back up again. So sometimes when you unplug your phone your battery might be at 93% or something and as you use it, the battery indicator will quickly deplete in order to show a better representation of where your battery life is actually at.
Also they sometimes give the last 10% a bit of a bigger percentage since they don't want people who live life on the edge and wait till the last 10% to let their phones die so they give them an extra little lee-way.
Also data takes up alot of battery life when used. Wi-Fi not so much.

Justin you are right. My wife is having the exact same problem. When her s4 was new the battery lasted her for more than a day, not it can t make it until noon and she doesn t use it for work. She hasn t changed any usage habits over the period that she has owned the phone (5 months) and she fully expects to be able to leave her Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4G turned on as she always has. Now she is regretting switching from BlackBerry to Android.

WiFi and 3g network drain a lot of battery. Turn them on only when needed.
Low Brightness
Keep location off
Wifi off
Internet off
When not needed
Kill apps

This is B.S. My phone last 5 1/2 hours. The replies to your question are stupid in my opinion. I want to be able to use my phone and see it. Brand new my s4 would at least last a entire day. 6 months later, 5 1/2 hours.....
