Who's tired of all this killing?

First the American revolution, then the war of independence, then world war 1, followed by world war 2, then Korea, Vietnam, the gulf war, Iraq, Afghanistan, and threats from North Korea, the Iran-Jerusalem war-scare, news of al-Qaeda resurfacing with a new leader, then Lybia, and now Syria, not to mention all the other civil wars, riots, and operations. Is it just me, or is anyone else just tired if all this death? I was really riled up to join the infantry a few years back, but now I realize everything is politics, and wars will always happen, there's no fighting for peace, freedom yes(not everyone will have it), but there will never be peace.

Update:

Of and I forgot the Rwanda massacres.

It's almost as bad as all the killing in the Christian Bible.

First "the American Revolution...????" The first recorded battle in history was the Battle of Megiddo sometime between 1479 BC and 1457 BC (something like 34 centuries ago) between Egypt and a collation made up of Canaanites, Kadesh, Megiddo, and Mitanni. Of course it wasn't actually THE first battle, just the first RECORDED battle. And, what d' ya know...???? The Egyptians are still fighting with the people living in what was then Canaan today. Why don't you ask them...if you can get their attention long enough while they kill each other?

The Americans didn't invent war. And they are not the only ones who engage in it (note: not a single American participated in the Rwanda massacre). So, get down off your high-horse before you fall off and hurt yourself. At least learn a little history before you shoot off your mouth....

You were wise to avoid the military. It has been more political in motivation than self defense or defending another country. I'm not degrading military personnel or the fact that they want to commit to our nations defense, but they are being used for the wrong purpose and to no avail. Our country knowingly supported Saddam Hussein 25 years ago when he also used poison gas against Iran. We have been guilty of covertly supporting other bad leaders(Manuel Noriega) only to turn around when they were found to be evil and remove them from power. The middle east has enough military might to police themselves, but the outcome may not be as much a financial benefit to the US or some of it's closer allies so the US sees this as more of a financial threat than a humanitarian one. Otherwise, why was it okay to support Saddam against Iran?

Yes, I am tired of the killing and especially for the wrong reasons.
