DOES HE LIKE ME PLEASE ANSWER?

So there's this guy and last year in may he asked me out and I didn't say anything, so he had a friend ask me if I liked him and I rejected him nicely. But then in December I told him I liked him and he had a hard time deciding between me and this girl but he chose the girl then we'd always make eye contact and I saw him at the doctors and then a couple nights later he messages me randomly (the first time in 6 months) and talks to me and asks for my number and kept using smiley faces and we texted too. Does he like me? He also liked my pictures and statuses. ( he used to do that when he liked me too.)
